Dr. Emmanuel Kanu, affectionately known as Dr. K, brings over 15 years of rich clinical experience from his work across three continents and five countries. As an Assistant Clinical Professor (adjunct) at McMaster University’s Department of Family Medicine, Dr. Kanu blends teaching with active clinical practice, highlighting his commitment to medical education and patient care. Holding dual certifications in General Practice from both the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK and the College of Family Physicians of Canada, his global expertise informs his compassionate and effective approach to family medicine.
Currently based in Ontario, Canada, Dr. Kanu practices at the Gentle Procedures Clinic in Hamilton and London, where he focuses on circumcision using the Pollock Technique™️ and Shang Ring methods, alongside general family medicine. His multidisciplinary background includes substantial experience in emergency medicine, orthopedics, internal medicine, and chronic pain management, allowing him to provide comprehensive care. Dr. Kanu is dedicated to staying current with medical advancements to exceed patient expectations consistently, demonstrating his dedication to high-quality medical care.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Kanu is deeply involved in community service through medical missions and sports, coaching his children’s soccer and basketball teams.
